(West Hartford, Connecticut) -- iSpeak4U, LLC. announced today the immediate availability of the HandySpeech application, the only handwriting-to-speech application on the Apple App Store providing a unique opportunity for people with speech disabilities to communicate.

HandySpeech was created by 12-year-old software developer Eric Zeiberg, who was inspired to create the application by his sister -- an autistic individual with speech disabilities.  "I hope that HandySpeech will provide much needed help and open new opportunities for people in need," said Eric. "The application is dedicated to courageous people who struggle every day to overcome their disabilities."

As an assisted speech technology application, HandySpeech supplements or even replaces speech for people with spoken language difficulties.  The application helps people with speech or language impairments, including autism, stuttering, stroke, muscular dystrophy, oral, throat and neck cancer, and others.

Users write what they want to say in any one of 13 languages and the software converts the handwriting into speech. The app is available for iPad, iPad Mini and soon for iPhone.

"I would have to say this is what was needed for our group members and many others who has problems with speaking. It will make a big difference for us as we have been so frustrated. We cannot believe - it's a God send," said Alice N., a cancer survivor.

"My wife and I have been using this app for several days now.  I can say that this application fills a void in available speech software. It is what maybe is the easiest and fastest way to carry on a quick or casual conversation.  The application's ability to recognize and learn your handwriting is excellent.  This is a nice contribution to the quality of life for speech impaired folks," said Robert T., a HandySpeech user.

To learn more about the HandySpeech applications and download it via the Apple App Store for $29.99, visit the iSpeak4U Web site at www.iSpeak4u.com.

The HandySpeech application was created by iSpeak4U, LLC., a Connecticut software development company offering mobile, web and server applications for customers worldwide.
